Reading Between the Lines – Evaluation & Tracking Project
Let's take a step back to evaluate, measure, and reconnect!
Founded in 2017, Reading Between the Lines (RBTL) uses discussion of literature to build critical thinking and communication skills with formerly and incarcerated men and women. Piloted in 2013 at the women’s residence of St. Leonard’s Ministries on the west side, it added the men’s house in 2014. Today, approximately 90% of RBTL’s participants are men.
Envisioning Justice initiative’s funding will be used to guide program design, strategic development and sustainability by institutionalizing evaluation and measurement tools. Using RBTL‘s extensive database, they will engage past, current and future participants to ascertain program impact and continued involvement as ambassadors and/or as facilitators.
